Need A Job?

Having been unemployed early last year and having many friends who are still unemployed, I thought it would be important to highlight a local job opportunity.  The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting temporary, part-time census takers for the 2010 Census.  These short-term jobs offer good pay ($20/hr starting pay in the District), flexible hours, paid training, and reimbursement for authorized work-related expenses, such as mileage incurred while conducting census work.  Best of all, census takers work right in their own communities.

The 2010 Census offers excellent opportunities for:
Full-Time Workers
Retirees
Job Seekers
Students and Grads
Community Leaders

Most hiring will take place during the spring of 2010 (right about now).  Application forms are available online.  You will need to print the form and bring proper identification to your scheduled testing session.  Do not mail your form, all applications must be submitted in person, on the day of your employment test.

There are two Census Offices in D.C.  If you are 18 years or older, call today to schedule an appt:
